Day One in Nica (el 2 de enero de 2009)

The plane flights were interesting enough to say the least. I haven't been on an airplane since I was in elementary school. When I saw Managua from the airplane I could tell that it was a large city without the towering skyscrapers. Everyone seems very laid back in Nicaragua. The people who work at the hotel (including the security guards who sit outside) live easy. When we met with Kellan and Yacarely, we went to get pizza which was amazingly cheesy. We were asked for money by panhandlers, one of which spoke English. I am ready to start my first official day tomorrow. (The photo is shot from the lobby of the hotel we stayed at in Managua)
